Vatican City

By 4/28/2015 ,

Vatican City is the smallest country in the world. It is also known as the Holy See and surrounded by Rome, Italy.

Another unique thing about the smallest country in the world is that it has no permanent citizens. Citizenship of the Vatican City is conferred upon those who work at the Vatican (as well as their spouses and children) and is revoked when they stop working there.

The Vatican City may be small, but it is very powerful. It is the center of the Catholic Church and also a home to the biggest church in the world – St. Peter's Basilica, and holds some of the most significant art works of the Renaissance such as The Pieta and the Creation of Adam.

The lines of people who want to see Vatican Museums are incredibly long, so be prepared to wait or pay more to skip the lines.

It is forbidden to take pictures inside the museums, so I don't have much to show you. But trust me on my word it is amazing, buy tickets and fly here to see it with your own eyes.
