We've seen the leaning Tower of Pisa a hundred times on postcards and magazines and I really wanted to spend one day to see it myself. Many of my friends told me not to waste time on this city, but I strongly disagree. Pisa is beautiful! It is a MUST if you're in Tuscany. It reminds me of Florence, only smaller.

It took us 2 hours to get to Pisa from Florence on a train. But since the train goes through Tuscany and you can see beautiful landscapes the time goes by pretty fast. Unfortunately we did not rent a car and did not bring driver's license, we regretted it many times. Traveling by car would be much more convenient.
We didn't find any signs for tourists how to get to the tower, so we just went straight ahead. The city is pretty small.


I was surprised that we found The Pisa Tower very fast. It took us about 20 minutes. The city seemed empty, but as we approached the tower, it became clear that all tourists are here.

It is funny how people try to take pictures in the same pose all over the place. Come on, people, be creative! But I wasn't :) So I have the most boring pictures with the tower.

We planned to spend this whole day in Pisa, but to tell you the truth there is not much to do here. So we saw the Tower (you can also climb to the top of it, but I don't know why we didn't do it) and decided to take a walk around the city.




Doesn't it look like Florence a little bit?

It was time to go back to Florence. Again, visit this place if you are in Tuscany. It is very nice, cozy and in my opinion Pisa Tower is something worth to be included in your must sees.
