Fussen and surroundings. Germany.

I am so in love with the mountains, words can't describe it. This is my first visit to the Alps, but certainly not the last.

During our stay mornings were foggy, but it didn't stop us from waking up early and explore these beautiful places.

Forggensee was completely dry, we were hoping to see green grass, blue water and snowy mountains. But instead this is what it looked like. Kinda out of this world.

By noon the fog almost cleared. We decided to eat something in nearest Fussen. The city is very small and I'd say romantic. You'll find lots of beautiful spots and corners. It is a perfect place to stay during your visit to Bavaria.
While driving to the supermarket in Schwangau we spotted a great location, you can see both castles from this point.
It was our last night in the mountains and the next morning new cities were waiting for us.

The main street has lots of shops and small restaurants. But you may have problems with parking. We parked for free here ( click to see it on the map). There is a big free parking just a few minutes form the main street.

If you are hungry check out Herzl am Rathaus (click to see it on the map). We really liked this place.

After walking a few hours around Fussen, we got tired and decided to see some more of the surroundings. Our first goal was Hopfensee. The place is magical! Seriously! We spend I believe 4 hours just walking around and enjoying great views and fresh air.

Before heading to the hotel we stopped by Weißensee. The scenery is amazing.

Out last day in the mountains. This trip was totally worth time and money we spend on it.
